SPOT CHECK GLAMIS
One rider who has really made the
dunes his home is FMX legend and
freeride pioneer Ronnie Renner.
Renner continues to film awesome
video parts at Glamis, like his section
in Moto5. Renner looks so comfortable
on the big dune jumps. His smooth
line choices, huge Whips and relaxed
style demonstrate how his experience
in the sand has paid off.
“Riding the desert is where my heart’s
at,” Ronnie said in Moto5. “Coming
out here is the ultimate freedom. You
can let your mind and imagination get
the best of you and just have a blast
with it.”
Only a few months ago Dirt Shark
filmed yet another game-changing edit
at Imperial Valley. Featuring everyone
from moto legends like Jeremy
McGrath to young rippers like Tyler
Bereman and even B.J. Baldwin going
huge in his crazy truck! With a cool
rock soundtrack by Stoned Jesus it
was a good homage to the old school
video parts that started it all some 20
years ago. We hope you enjoy some of
these behind-the-scenes photos from
the session at the world’s no.1 dune
riding destination: Glamis.
The dunes are open for business –
you just have to get a licence at the
gate. Check out the Bureau of Land
Management website for more info. T
