HOW TO... BUILD A JUMP Step 7. Breaking it in. You’ve now cleared your jump and have stopped to catch your breath and take a break. The next thing to do is to touch up everything you’ve already shovelled and repack it. This is the part I have dubbed the ‘breaking in’ phase and you will want to do this process several times. The more times you hit it and repack your jump, the better. All this gets you one step closer to owning your masterpiece. Step 8. Consult your cameraman. After you’ve broken the jump in, it’s good to observe all the angles of the cameraman, to see what kind of shots he’s getting. You can then pick out the best angles and have them go back to that spot, where you can throw your best tricks for the ultimate shots. Step 9.
