in the world, it’s very difficult to
block half the city for a fun twoday event. 250,000 people were
expected to attend, with crowds
stretching all along the circuit. The
FMX show was to be held at two
different locations simultaneously.
The roads needed to be closed in
the day, reopened in the night and
closed again the next day. Time for
the construction was limited and
we had some serious planning to
do to get this one done.
The event was scheduled for the
end of August. As our containers
were on the way, a conflict broke
out in the country and organisers
needed to pull the hand brake.
With the situation in the country
being what it is, local promoters
