feel this gives me a different approach to the riders – being a rider myself you know, instead of just being some promoter d**k… How many of you are involved in the running of M.O.D nowadays? Who’s in your team? We are a small, core group of people. There is: Arthur Magnus (CEO of the company handling M.O.D), Berni Fieber (production manager), Elisabeth Hötzl (communications manager and my PA), Jason Moriarty and Morgan Carlson (athlete managers), Alex Antic (online and media director), Martin Seeh (fashion director) Gerhard Mayr and of course the track crew who are the best and hardest working people in the game. We use some logistic crews, runners and stagehands from local promoters or venues and of course, last but not least me - the mastermind and all-seeing eye of M.O.D. Pretty much everything gets approved by me. The main pre-event work is done by Arthur, Berni, Elisabeth, Martin, Alex Antic and myself. My dad still acts as an overall consultant. How long before an event do you have to start the planning and organising stage? We start as soon as everything is locked in and the contracts are signed. The earlier the better! For M.O.D Vienna we basically go on sale for the following year the same day we do the show, so exactly one year in advance. Had you done anything similar to this before starting M.O.D? No, I have just been riding bikes and breaking bones for many years now! I never behaved as a child… but I have been growing up whilst on tour and around the venues lately. My dad used to be Austria’s biggest artist manager and event promoter. He has done big concerts such as Elton John, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and U2, just to name a few.
