What’s the excitement like
once you’ve gone through the
process from scouting out lines
to hitting them and seeing the
pictures?
Man it’s a feeling of success,
knowing that it was worth it.
Whenever we build I’m the one
doing all the shovelling, raking
and watering - my friends run
the equipment but I do all the
handwork. The whole time I’m
jumping the jump mentally and
when it all comes together and
you see a great shot there’s a big
feeling of satisfaction.
Have you ever thought about
making your own freeride
documentary?
Well, I’m actually working on a
freeride video at the moment
with Matt Collins, basically about
everything I’ve been doing Up
North. I wanted to make a video
with the goal that it makes you
want to go ride no matter what
skill level you’re at.
That’s cool; I didn’t know you
were working on that.
Yeah most people don’t know
about it. I’m not that savvy when
it comes to social media stuff as most people know. I’ve got
enough footage to probably make
ten of them. The header should
be done here towards the end of
the Summer.
My whole goal doing this thing is
just to do something I like to do.
I’m not worried about it being too
profitable.
We’ll have to catch up with you
around summertime and see
how it’s going.
Yeah, I definitely plan on not being
so incognito about it when it
comes out, but I’m an artist so I’m
picky. I’ll put it out when I’m ready
(laughs). It’ll be good; it’ll be out
there for everybody to see. T
