After lunch we decided to explore a
different part of resort and opted for
some tree line runs off ‘le lose’ chair
lift. Almost immediately we came a
across a kicker just off piste. Si and
Max both sent huge backflips before
we headed into the trees to find some
more fresh powder. Trying to keep
up with the team as they skilfully
weaved in and out of the fir trees was
a definite highlight for me.
When we got back to the chalet,
Simon, Faye and myself decided
we wanted to re-build the rail in the
garden for a night session after dinner.
This was the first time I had built
anything out of snow and even though
we had a few centimetres of snow the
night before, it was hard work shifting
the stuff. But the end result couldn’t
have been any more perfect.
So after dinner and a few beers we all
went outside to session the rail. Even
I got my boots and board together,
but once I started watching the guys
destroy the rail I decided it was
probably best to take pictures instead.
Max was so focused, he refused to
go inside until he got his trick ‘back
lip 270 out’. I lasted till about midnight
before heading to bed with a massive
smile on my face after an amazing
week. DC, you have out-done
yourself. t
