years ago ... seven years ago. But it
was rad. Good times.
Any funny stories that you can
share?
It was just genuinely being there...
because I’d just kind of got to the
age where I could get into bars and
stuff on the New Zealand trip, and
we were just getting wasted, and
going skating, and not even having
hangovers at that point because
you’re so young. Just wake up in
the morning feeling fine, go out
skating all day, get back on it.
As soon as you go past 30, it’s
just downhill!
Yeah, totally.
Cool. We’ll end this with some
rapid-fire questions, man.
Favourite place to skate?
Currently, I’d think it’s Stockwell in
London. It’s this park, consists of
bumps and stuff. You can kind of
just carve around. Not really like a
place you’d go to do loads of mad
tricks. It’s more just like somewhere
to chill. Beers with the bros.
Yeah. Most overrated place to
skate?
A very famous spot. It’s called
Hollywood High. I mean, I would
never have anything for it. And
it’s sick when people do this. But
there’s the bust factor, you just get
kicked out.
You could try the craziest trick ever
- you’ve ever done - get so close to
it, got all this adrenaline, and then
police come and they’re like, “No,
no, no.” And then you’re just like,
“Wow, that was...” and it’s over.
Favourite trick to watch at the
moment?
I like watching people do front side
ollies on quarter pipes. Someone
like Grant Taylor, they just do a front
side ollie on a quarter pipe but they
just flow. It just really looks effortless
and it’s like really amazing. t
