The Double-Backflip is no longer the maybe-impossible white
whale it once was, but it still represents a pinnacle of difficulty
and risk for an FMX rider. At the same time, with it in your trick
bag you’ve got a leg-up on your competition and the option to
start working on combos. We sat down with Germany’s freestyle
prodigy, Luc Ackermann, to discus the mental and technical
obstacles he’s overcome to stomp one of the biggest tricks in the
game.
