£ Moto Three provided a fittingly exciting climax to a weekend of great racing . Going into the race , USA , France and The Netherlands were all in with a shout – and the overall lead changed hands repeatedly through the race . A crash for Cooper Webb broke American hearts and temporarily made it look like the Dutch would take the title . Romain Febvre had other ideas , however , and a late overtake on GB ’ s Tommy Searle game him fourth place and enough points for a French hat trick .
Jeffrey Herlings looked impressive on his first “ proper ” outing on a 450 - notching impressive lap times and winning Sunday ’ s Moto Two on the way to giving The Netherlands their best result since their home event in 2004 .
