Clinton Moore is
one gnarly dude
Clinton Moore won his first ever
Red Bull X-Fighters contest at this
year’s season opener in Mexico City,
Mexico. The win gave the Aussie a big
confidence boost and ever since that
round, Clinton had been riding like he
believed he could win - and of course,
he had the tricks to back that up.
“To come out here and achieve what
I have done is the most unbelievable
thing in my life,” said Clinton. “This has
been a dream ever since I was a child
and started freestyle motocross. Now
it is reality!”
When Clinton threw a Volt over the
80ft dirt jump in Pretoria, SA, everyone
realized just how much he wanted to
win and that he was prepared to do
whatever it took to get the judges’
attention. He carried this balls-out
approach over to the UAE and during
the practice session threw a Volt over
the 120ft dirt jump; a hit that some
riders were struggling to clear and
others didn’t jump at all. This was
easily the biggest Volt in the history of
FMX and really piled the pressure on
Pagès.
“After Tom did his mistake all I had
to do was put my run together, but
that played on my mind too much
and when I came to the Bundy, I
almost threw it away as well. I nearly
cracked under the pressure, but held
it together.”
Having beaten his main rival already
in the quarter final round, Moore still
wanted to win in style and continued
to push himself in the final against
Adelberg. Clint added No-HanderLanders to his already insanely
technical body varials - the Volt and
his signature Bundy - demonstrating
his progression from the season start
and showing just how comfortable he
is doing these unbelievably highconsequence, championship-winning
tricks.
