T
HE NITRO CIRCUS TOUR is renowned
for constantly trying to out–do itself. After
selling out the MGM Grand Garden Arena
in Las Vegas, performing to sell-out crowds
across Europe, breaking ticket sale records in Australia
and being the highest selling tour in New Zealand in
2011; Nitro stepped up again when the circus rolled
into South Africa for their first ever tour of the African
continent in February 2014 - and the entire crew were
absolutely blown away by what followed over the next
10 days.
The SA tour simply smashed the previous Nitro Circus
Live crowd record numbers with over 20,000 fans at
Cape Town Stadium, almost 25,000 fans at Moses
Mabhida Stadium in Durban and then an unbelievable
35,000 fans going absolutely ballistic in the FNB Soccer
City Stadium, Johannesburg.
The first show exploded
into life with an insane
base jump from the top
of the stadium arch,
when Nitro athlete Eric
Roner jumped from the
top of the 350 foot high
walkway - somethi ng
which had never been
done before. From
the second the event
started, the Nitro crew
was making history again. We’ve picked
out our favourite
photos from the
three incredible
shows and all the
fun and games
that went down in
between… T
