We caught up with Patricia Doucet, Ms. Wheelchair Cali- fornia, just before she got in her car to join the parade. Patricia is retired from Federal Law Enforcement and now spends her time as an activist and advocate for the disabilities community. The Union Middle School Tiger Band won the first place trophy in the Middle School Band and Drum Major categories! In addition to the Morgan Hill July 4th Parade they have made appearances all over the Bay Area. They were good! Since 2009 the Jury Kick Ranchette has been bringing their mini donkeys, Mijo and Cookie Dough, to the Parade. They’re a huge hit and were awarded the Best Equestrian Group medal! At the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark, home of the Tomcats you’ll find model airplanes of all sizes. They won the second place trophy in Floats, Amateur and Non-profit category. Representing the California Rodeo Salinas, is Miss California Ro-Day-O enjoy- ing a ride through the Parade on a long-horn steer! The Salinas Rodeo is the largest in California. The Military Vehicle Collectors Club of California is dedi- cated to the acquisition, restoration, preservation and public education of historical transport.
