ABOUT FREE & EASY
Free & Easy Traveler is a network of friends and family connected through a love of travel. We
have worked together to create and sustain a company that provides life-changing travel experi
ences for people all around the world. Founded in the year 2000, by a young 20-year-old traveler
Curtis Smith, Free & Easy began as a way for Curtis to continue traveling and at the same time
share his amazing experiences with a group of like-minded people. The concept became conta-
gious and people were eager to get involved: childhood friends, family, and people who went on
his trips quickly went from being customers to life-long travel companions and integral parts of the
company. Being a business comprised completely of people who are travel buddies first and work
colleagues second has maintained the fun loving ‘FnEZ’ way of living that can be found in every-
thing we do. As travelers, we want to design and share the best possible trip experience for anyone
interested in traveling. Because, in the end, Free & Easy is all about enjoying life and experiencing
the world, and that’s what we strive to accomplish in everything we do.

We want to change your life by raising the bar for what you consider to be the best
time you’ve ever had by exposing you to something completely foreign: another culture,
a new landscape, a new way to live and a sense of freedom that most people never get
to feel. We are travelers that create and run backpacker style trips all around the world
for like-minded travelers.

We want you to feel free and take life easy: this is the root of what we believe makes
for a great travel experience. Simply shedding off the anxieties of life at home and enjoy-
ing every moment of every day is one of our main goals. This is why we don’t travel with
strict daily itineraries or force a handful of destinations into just a few days. We believe in
traveling in a casual, unhurried manner that allows you to get to know a country, appreci-
ate its beauty, interact with the local people and simply relax.
