The Grail continued
In Troyes' excerpt of The Grail, the theme is to take advantage of each moment and live life to the fullest. It is shown through the repetition of Perceval's hesitance and the actual characterization of Perceval. The author repeated throughout the passage that Perceval was holding back questions, so by the end of the passage, he regretted his decision. Also, the characterization of Perceval made him appear as if he listened to authority, controlled his own life and its course of events. The most important thing about life is making the most of every moment, so one must learn to take each moment and live it the way that will most satisfy them.
