MEETINGS & EVENTS Fragrance Creators regularly engages with legislators and goverment officials to advocate on behalf of its members, fragrance, and the broader fragrance industry. In early March 2019, Fragrance Creators President & CEO Farah K. Ahmed and Director, Government Affairs & Legal, Amanda Nguyen attended a Congressional Black Caucus event and met with several supporters of fragrance. Not pictured: On March 25, 2019, Fragrance Creators met with Representative John Shimkus (R-IL-15) and his staff. Representative Shimkus sits on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, was heavily involved with the bipartisan passage of the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (LCSA), and has recently taken a leadership role in cosmetics modernization.
