First of all I want to congratulate the editorial team for successfully publishing the new issue of Pratibimba . And I want to thank you for this opportunity .
I graduated from KU back in 2010 and I still look back on those years fondly . Since then it has been a very interesting journey of discovery and the majority of my work has been focused on wildlife research and conservation . So to those of you who are interested in pursuing a career in wildlife conservation , there is a lot to be done .
As a developing nation , we will frequently face the question of conservation versus development as we carry out our work . Some decisions we make in the future will have long-term consequences in the lives of communities and their living environment . So it is our responsibility as people who decided to pursue this path to always try to be objective in our decisions , and choose to balance things . Our role is to look for sustainable solutions and act as advocates and mediators . What we are undertaking is impossible without the cooperation of many so always choose a way to work together with everyone .
I guess that sums up what I want to say . To those who are graduating , congratulations and all the best for the future ! And , for the rest , I hope you accumulate amazing experiences with friends and explore things you enjoy doing . This is time when you start discovering yourself so don ’ t be too hard on yourself .
Right now you are at the starting point and there is a lot more to learn . Explore , travel , and keep an open mind . All the best for the future !
