PROVIDING WHEELCHAIRS, A SMALL CHURCH IN MEXICO
IS HELPING THEIR COMMUNITY IN A BIG WAY.

G
od is less concerned about what you
have—time, talents, treasure—than how
much of it you are prepared to give Him.
If you are willing to let him have it all, He can
multiply it in miraculous ways. That’s how our
small church in a low-income neighborhood in
Zihuatanejo, in Mexico’s Guerrero state, has
grown in the past few years.
Our handful of early members could come up
with only a few hundred dollars toward our building
project, but God honored that sacrificial giving, and
we now meet in our own purpose-built facility. From
there, we reach out to the community by seeking to
meet their needs, from addiction rehab and food
packages to support for prisoners’ families and
providing wheelchairs. And we have seen miracles
of healing as we have prayed for the sick.
Basically, we simply want to share the love of
God that we have experienced in our own lives.

This has been my passion since I came to know
Jesus while locked up for drug-related offenses in a
Texas prison. Filled with the Holy Spirit, I began
sharing the gospel with my fellow prisoners within
days and haven’t stopped since.
Deported to my native Mexico, I preached
wherever I could until I connected with John
Sullivan, together with his wife, Beti, a part of
Foursquare Missions International. Through his
mentoring and the support I have found since
becoming part of Foursquare, with the strength
of its covering, accountability and prayer,
our ministry has grown in ways I could never
have imagined.
We keep it simple: Look to meet people’s needs
and trust God to provide.
