Nicole Malloy was only 8 when she had a dream about a village she had never
seen. God eventually led her to serve as a missionary in that exact place.
HOW DID GOD CALL YOU TO YOUR MINISTRY IN THE
PHILIPPINES?
When I was 8, I dreamed that God sent me somewhere
surrounded by water with people cooking over open fires.
When I was older, I kept thinking: “I’m an unwed, single mom.
No church will send me to the mission field.” Then my pastor
invited me on a Philippines missions trip, and the village we
arrived in was the place from my dream.

The traditional religion there is very animistic. Everything is a god, so people live in constant
fear of offending some deity. The Palaw’an leaders are vital because they can speak the
regional language and know the religious beliefs that are obstacles for the Tau’t Batu and
