Jobe/Jstar
Ricky Gonzales is at it again. The ‘West Coast Rider’
(USA) has launched another wakeboard brand. Phalanx’s stuff is looking pretty special. Details are fairly
sparse at the moment, but we have heard they are going
into production at the moment, and there will be some
demo boards here in New Zealand very soon (if they
aren’t already here!). 77-Eighty Four are distributing
here in NZ so check them out at their web-page. Details
on the ‘Friends’ page of our website. - UPDATE! We have
just taken reciept of 2 of Phalanx new boards, I’ll be
trying these out over the next few weeks, and get a full
write up for edition 2.
Wake-Tours have just set up down on Lake Wakatipu.
They’ve got a 2006 Malibu Wakesetter, and are running
out of O’Regans Wharf in Queenstown. If you’re down
that way then look them up for a ride. Contact details on
the ‘friends’ page of our site.
Do you know anything about Jstar.... to be honest, we
probably don’t know any more than you. We have been
hearing they have sold up to a European company, leaving some of their riders without a board sponsor, but we
aren’t sure what this is going to mean for the 2011 and
2012 board range. - Updated, just seen a 2011 range appear on the site. The plot thickens and Jeff is now signed
to Liquid Force
In Transit
It looks like Sideswipe productions are getting pretty
close to the competion of their new flick, ‘In Transit’. A
new trailer has gone out, check it out via the ‘Media’
section of our site.
Looking forward to seeing the final edit!
2011 IWWF WORLDS
The 2011 IWWF World’s have just been announced in
Kuching, Malaysian Borneo. Should be a great event to
compete in. The grounds look like paradise, beer is cheap,
looks like a nice holiday to us. We’ll keep an eye out for
news and some photo’s of this.
