I must admit, stepping aboard
the new Skope 600V I was a little
apprehensive, could a New Zealand
designed and manufactured V drive
wakeboard boat really match up to
the big name imports we all know
so well? There was only one way
to find out and that was to try it
for myself.
Sitting inside the spacious interior
with 6 of us there was still room
for plenty more and gear to boot
with the two large rear lockers and
under-seat storage throughout the
boat. As we cruised away from the
jetty we filled the optional triple
ballast system at the flick of a
switch, pumping 1250L of water
into the Skope providing the extra
weight needed to bring the wake
up to competition standards. The
Skope comes with 500L, 750L and
1250L factory ballast options One
thing that really impressed me was
the fact that even though there
were 6 of us and 1500L of water I
could hardly tell the Skope 600V
was sitting any lower in the water,
the high sided design of this boat
means that it sits very much out of
the water. This is a great feature
for those younger family’s as even
