CELEBRATING 125 YEARS OF HISTORY 1896-2021
Both Stephen and Lynn Webber had a strong passion for Indigenous education . In 2013 , an Indigenous flag was raised at the School as the first part of the journey for the School ’ s Reconciliation
Action Plan .
In 2014 , the Preparatory School and the Chapel both celebrated their Centenary . The Chapel exterior was steam-cleaned to remove the hundred years of dirt and grime . Care was taken not to remove the cross on the roof left by the American Army in 1942 . A highlight of the Centenary was the mass written by Gerard Brophy and the performance by Senior School Choir , the Song Company and William Barton on didgeridoo .

A number of former Indigenous students attended the ceremony . 2014 saw the inaugural Indigenous football match between Guildford and Wesley with both schools wearing Indigenous guernseys .
In 2015 , a dawn service was held at the boat shed near Woodbridge to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli . Over 1,800 attendees from the school community attended to hear the students read the names of the fallen in both WW1 and WW2 . A moving re-enactment was performed by boys dressed in uniforms , who landed in eight boats lit by lanterns and ran onto the banks of the Swan River , only to be mowed down by gunfire . Crosses for all the fallen were placed on the river bank and two current Harper family students who were descendants of Gresley and Wilfred Harper were featured . Guildford lost 12 Old Guildfordians at Gallipoli .

2015 saw the opening of the new Preparatory School buildings . The buildings were named Woolba , Monop and Joobaitch after three significant Nyoongar elders of the region .
In 2015 , school started one week earlier in January with a three week mid-year break over the holidays . This gave the boarders a longer stay at home .
Guildford won the PSA Golf in 2011 , 2014 , 2015 , 2017 and 2018 . The 1st XVIII Football team won the Alcock Cup in 2015 . Guildford won the Hamer Cup for Rowing in 2013 and the Head of the River in 2017 . The 1st XI Cricket team won the Darlot Cup in 2018 .
The official opening of the Guildford Grammar School Foundation Hockey Turf was held in 2016 . The Australian U13 Girls Competition was held on the new synthetic turf soon after the opening .
At the end of 2016 , at a special whole school assembly , the announcement was made that girls would be accepted into the Senior School for 2018 . On the whole , the School community were supportive of this move . 49 girls from Year 7 , 8 and 11 were enrolled for the beginning of 2018 .
Stephen was interviewed by a group of Preparatory School students before he left and they asked him what his most memorable moments at the School were . He mentioned the Chapel Centenary , the sporting victories and the School becoming fully co-educational . When asked what he was most proud of , he said it was the strong sense of community . In times of adversity and challenge its strength comes to the fore . He was most proud of the people , students , staff and the Old Guildfordians who share a special bond with the School .
