Principal’s commissioning

It was with these words, that Mrs Anne
Dunstan was commissioned as the thirteenth
head of Guildford Grammar School at a
moving ceremony at the Thwaites Forecourt
on Wednesday 5 February, 2020.
The Commissioning of the Principal is an
important event in the history of the School
and the Anglican Diocese of Perth. It was
at this event that the Archbishop formally
commissioned Mrs Dunstan for her important
role and presented her a Licence by which
authority she is permitted to serve and lead
the School.
The Service was officiated by The Most Rev’d
Kay Goldsworthy AO, Archbishop of Perth
and Visitor to the School, in the presence of
invited guests, staff and students from Years
1-12.
Mrs Dunstan joins the School from Pulteney
Grammar School in Adelaide where she
was the Principal from 2014-2019. Prior to
that she was the Deputy Head and Head of
Senior School at Scotch Oakburn College in
Tasmania. She holds a Masters of Leadership
and Education Management from the
University of Newcastle and a Bachelor of
Arts and Graduate Diploma of Education
from the University of Adelaide.
Anne has significant experience in
transformational change and has a track
record of developing and implementing
evidence-based goals in a collaborative way.
