Ernest Jones ( SG 1916-1922 ) has had his swimming career celebrated in a new book called ‘ Buoyant : A History of Swimming in Western Australia ’. Ernest was the dominant Australian middle and long-distance freestyle swimmer for most of the 1920 ’ s , who represented both Western Australia and Australia , where he collectively won over 100 championships .
James ‘ Kaye ’ Greenham ( St 1953-1958 ) was inducted as a Baseball WA Life Member on Tuesday , 2 April 2019 . Kaye has been a devout Baseballer for many years , both as a player and coach for the Western Australia Baseball League .
Anthony ‘ Tony ’ Routledge ( SG 1981- 1982 ) was nominated as a Western Region Entrepreneur of the Year finalist for his work with his telecommunications company AVI . Tony and his brother , Stewart , established AVI 29 years ago , where they design and manufacture communication , security and audio-visual systems .
Trent Cooper ( Wb 1986-1990 ) was appointed to coach the Fremantle Dockers Australian Football League Women ’ s ( AFLW ) team , where his leadership encouraged an outstanding season for Fremantle . After battling for second last place in 2018 , Trent ’ s first year of coaching led to Fremantle ’ s first preliminary final in AFLW history .
Paul Blackburne ( St 1986-1993 ) was featured in The West Australian regarding his development company , Blackburne , and his proposed $ 235 million Subiaco Pavilion Market redevelopment .
Angus Turner ( He 1988-1994 ) was selected as one of four finalists nominated for the 2019 WA Australian of the Year award . Dr Turner is a director of Lions Outback Vision , and has worked to conquer blindness and vision impairment across rural and remote Australia . Joshua Davenport ( Be 1989-1994 ) was featured in an article beside his wife , Rachael , discussing their career as winemakers and how it drew them together . After working summer jobs in vineyards , Josh founded Myattsfield Vineyards in the Perth Hills when he was 22 . He met his wife , Rachel , when working at Sandalford Wines , when she was hired as the new Lamonts winemaker .

Raleigh Finlayson ( Sc 1989-1995 ) has been featured in The West Australian , in which he discussed the exploration prospects of the gold mining company Saracen Mineral Holdings . Raleigh has said that the company will continue to be cautious around acquisitions , but also more inquisitive after the company has spent $ 60 million on exploration and $ 80 million on growth projects this financial year .
Mark Koh ( SG 1998-1999 ) has organised ‘ Tech for All ’ to be held in Singapore on 14-16 August 2019 , a family-friendly , lifestyle-centred conference experience with something for everyone .
Simon Cherriman ( Wb 1999-2001 ) had his PhD study featured in The West Australian ( 23 December 2018 ). Simon is currently a Murdoch University PhD candidate , tracking the flight behaviours of wedge-tailed eagles . Using a crowdfunded tracking system , his study has uncovered the amazing journey that the wedgetailed eagle embarks on throughout Western Australia .
Kiat Seah ( St 1999-2003 ) met up with Kim Walton ( Headmaster 1997-2002 ) in Hamburg , Germany , in November 2018 during his anniversary trip . Kiat had lost contact with Mr Walton for more than five years and he reports that it was a great pleasure to meet up . Mr Walton was a very good host and showed them around , had lunch and they went to Mönckebergstrasse ( one of the shopping streets ).
Yuri Berns ( Fr 1993-2004 ), of Sittella Winery and President of the Swan Valley and Regional Winemakers Association , was featured in Echo Newspaper ( 9 March 2019 ) and reported an exceptional year for Swan Valley vintages . Yuri discussed the weather conditions and fruit quality of the 2018 harvest and how he considers the 2018 vintage to a “ once in a generation year .”
Te Ming Saw ( Prep / Be 1993-2005 ) married Claudia Lie in the School ’ s chapel on 18 May 2019 .
Alex James ( SG 2002-2006 ) and Ellen Blight shared wedding vows in the School ’ s chapel on 19 January 2019 .
Alex Rance ( Fr 2005-2006 ) ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his 200th career
