The Year 12 ATAR Drama students presented the Year 12 Drama production Myth , Propaganda and Disaster in Nazi Germany and Contemporary America by Stephen Sewell in Term 1 .
This play is a searing examination of contemporary western society since the tragic event of 9 / 11 , with a deep questioning of the political , economic and philosophical ideologies that affect the world .
Myth , Propaganda and Disaster in Nazi Germany and Contemporary America tells the story of Talbot , an Australian academic , teaching in an Ivy League university who finds himself threatened by a figure titled ‘ Man ’ who interrogates and ultimately unravels the life of Talbot .
Year 12 students Jasper Berrington ( 12Ha ), Jack Connor ( 12He ), Charlize Gosnell ( 12Fr ), Luke Osborne ( 12Be ) and Mason Shephard ( 12He ) were accompanied by other student performers Tia MacKenzie ( 12Wb ), Anne-Marie White ( 11Ha ), Chelsea Aamodt ( 11Be ), and Dane Wilson ( 12Fr ). General Drama students helped produce the production with Jay Versari ( 12SG ) as lighting operator , Bodi Bauk ( 12Wb ) assisting with sound operation and Ian Monash ( 12St ) as Stage Manager .
It was a most compelling and relevant play presented by a team of dedicated and talented Year 12 students .
