SPORT
the state participated in. Our riders really
enjoyed the competition, receiving some
excellent results.
Audrey Bell (11St) placed first in the
Preliminary Dressage as well as the 70cm
Secondary Showjumping. She also placed
third in the 80cm Secondary Showjumping,
11th in the Secondary Working Hunter
and 12th in the Preliminary Dressage. Lucy
LeCoultre (Year 6) placed first in the 60cm
Primary Showjumping. Olivia Crossen
(7Be) placed 8th in the 60cm Secondary
Showjumping and 23rd in the 70cm
Se condary Showjumping. James Pritchard
(Year 6) placed 5th in the Primary Show
Hunter. All students, with the support of very
dedicated parents, presented themselves and
their horses and ponies beautifully and were
outstanding representatives for the School.
The support they showed one another as
a team as well as the sportsmanship they
demonstrated in a challenging atmosphere,
was most impressive and we are very proud
of their efforts.
While the Equestrian program is in the
development stages, we are pleased to
already offer our students a range of
opportunities to learn about the vast array
of equestrian based activities. Our focus at
this stage is primarily on Olympic disciplines
but we recognise and support students
riding and competing in other areas
including Western, Campdrafting.
The long term future possibilities of our
program are very exciting. With a view to
building Equestrian facilities on site at the
School, our students will continue to be
further immersed in a range of theoretical
and practical equestrian experiences and
exposed to the many pathways available in
the Equestrian industry.

Success at the SunSmart
Women’s Triathlon
Congratulations to the team of 22 girls who
competed in the SunSmart Women’s Triathlon at
Hillarys in March.
Our five mini-tri teams powered through, with most
of the competitors entering their first triathlon.
Our two short course teams finished 1st and 4th
and Guildford Grammar School took home the
honour of crossing the line first in the race!
Our Individual triathletes Ellen Kozlowska (11Sc)
and Sienna Tolomei (11SG) both had outstanding races, taking out their
respective age categories. In addition Ellen was the first female competitor home
in the distance and Sienna the 8th!
