PR E PA R ATORY S C HO OL Crazy Hair Day Mikaela, Meg and Ruby. W e have Crazy Hair Day at the Preparatory School to raise money for people who have Leukaemia and other types of cancer. We went to Priestley Hall in the morning and people who were nominated got their hair shaved and cut by professionals and school teachers. It was funny, exciting and scary at the same time! We put wigs, hair spray, masks, pony tails, colour spray, bows, pipe cleaners, piggy tails, glitter, spiders, animals and weird styles in our hair. We thought we looked pretty cool like a rock star, like Mickey Mouse and like a crazy kid! The Year 6D class had a Lap-athon and raised so much money for sick children. We think it was pretty fabulous and wicked that they did this. Crazy Hair Day is fun and one of the best days we have at Guildford Grammar Preparatory School. Mikaela, Meg and Ruby M y inspiration for this year’s Crazy Hair Day was Nick Cummins, who plays for the Western Force and The Wallabies. Last year he played for The Barbarians at Twickenham, England. I love the game of rugby. One day I hope to be a professional rugby player. I support the Western Force in WA, but I was born in England. His nickname is the Honey Badger. I hope he gets picked for The Wallabies again this year so that he can play in The Rugby World Cup 2015. He is a very caring man, he played rugby in Japan last year to help his family as they are very sick. I am very glad he has returned to Australia. I have met the Honey Badger at the NIB stadium and at a Western Force small Force rugby clinic. He played in my team! I have his autograph and lots of photographs of him with me. My ninth birthday cake was a rugby pitch with an icing model of him and his crazy hair. Charlie 48 Charlie and Thomas. O n Crazy Hair Day I had spiderwebs from Halloween in my hair with spiders and insects stuck in it. They stayed in place with bobby pins and lots of hairspray and glitter. I got the idea from a photo my Mum saw on the Internet. My sister Audrey also needed some items for her hair so we went to Toy World and Red Dot to get our supplies. It was a good day and everyone looked great. Thomas
