AROUND THE SCHOOL Fashion flare in the family! Stylist: Cadon Gates Model: Lewi Gillman Agency: Ryan Hall Management Cadon Gates (12St) has had a creatively exciting year of firsts, making a name for himself in the Australian fashion industry. Along with his sister Sharnee (Prep 2006-2010), he recently featured in the STM Magazine in an article on 75 people who make WA fashion great. Cadon has been working part-time as a fashion stylist, assisting wellknown stylists such as Chloe Christos and Tegan Sewell with their fashion festivals and shows. Fashion styling is the art of acquiring garments and accessories and arranging them to reflect a certain mood or theme which is characterised by the stylist’s own flare. Cadon recently styled his first fashion shoot, as can be seen in this photo. His work on this photo shoot got the attention of Keith Archer from Strobe Hair and Makeup, who has asked Cadon to return to Sydney to style an Aboriginal celebrity model for NAIDOC Week and is arranging for him to be involved in other celebrity photo shoots. Cadon has also signed with Ryan Hall Management, and has secured a role as an extra in the ABC mini-series Ready for This? and has cast for a main role with NetFlix in their drama Marco Polo. Cadon plans to travel to Europe next year to further his styling work and hopes to meet Jean Paul Gaultier and Ralph Lauren.
