PR E PA R ATORY S C HO OL Football season concludes with a visit by Nic Naitanui We wrapped up the 2018 Preparatory School football season with a visit by Nic Naitanui from the West Coast Eagles, who joined us for our trophy presentation night. Nic talked about the importance of setting goals and explained that school work doesn’t stop once you make it to an AFL club. Nic also presented our trophies to the following players: A Team • Fairest & Best - Ned Reiger • Runner Up Fairest & Best - Monty McMahon • Rising Star - Marshall Pymont • Coaches Award - Koen Harper B Team • Fairest & Best - Patrick Gannon • Runner Up Fairest & Best - Felix Lethbridge • Rising Star - Cody Lovell • Coaches Award - Jack Ryan 3G Award • Prep 3G Award - Jonnie Purcell Mr Sam Day Teacher-in-charge, Football Smoothie for a smooth start Head of the Preparatory School, Mr Clark Wight, came up with a special GGS smoothie recipe that he shared with all of the new students visiting the Preparatory School on Monday 19 November for Step up Day. By all accounts it certainly tasted interesting! Water – to go with the flow Grapes – to hang out as a bunch Nuts – because it is ok to be a little nuts when you start a new year level Turmeric - to add a little zest and spice Passion Fruit – Be you. Be unique and bring your passions Dragon Fruit – Try new and different things Chia Seeds – The little things make a big difference Go Ji Berries – Bring your FUN and get up and go! Spinach – Stay strong and healthy Ice – Stay cool if things don’t go your way Prune juice – to stay relaxed Mint – Because fresh breathe is nice for everybody Orange – ‘Orange’ you glad to be at GGS Most importantly – Add your own ingredient because you will add much to GGS! 31
