Articulating and living our purpose
Inspiring students to achieve personal excellence and to be outstanding citizens who work to create a just , loving and peaceful society .
Stemming from the provocations and insights gained by exploring the question “ What is an education worth having ?” during the Guildford Grammar School Education Summit held earlier this year , as well as the reflections of our community on last year ’ s COVID-19 experiences , our staff have been working to co-create a framework that articulates not only our vision for learning but also the ways in which all members of our community bring our school purpose to life .
The Matrix also identifies four key ‘ ways of being ’ that we seek for all members of our community – Connected , Engaged , Futurefocused and Empowered .
The entire staff have begun to imagine the ways in which we will bring this exciting vision to life and apply it to our daily work ; in our learning spaces , through our rich and varied co-curricular opportunities and community outreach , and in the ways we care for our environment and each other .
