CELEBRATING 125 YEARS OF HISTORY 1896-2021
Chapel Gift Run
In Term 3 , we held our annual Chapel Gift Run where students from each House race around the course , timed by the chimes of the Chapel bell .
Yousef Elhosainy ( 12Sc ) won the boys ’ race , setting a new record time of 26 bells ( 1.14.40 ). Lemarna Valentine ( 10Wb ) won the girls ’ race for a second time , which has only ever been done once before , with a time of 34 bells ( 1.34.82 ).
The Chapel Gift was initiated by Mr Len Fernandes ( Staff ) in 2003 and was the School ’ s version of the famous run around the courtyard in the film Chariots of Fire . Luke Miles ( Sc 1999-2003 ) was the inaugural winner at 27 bells , as seen in the photo below with Mr Fernandes and Father Roy Gilbert ( Staff 1988-2008 ).
