After representing WA in the u/16
National Football Championships in QLD
over the school holidays Rhett Bazzo (10Sc)
was successful in being selected in the
All-Australian team.
Audrey Bell (12St) made her professional
singing debut on Thursday 12 September at
the Ellington Jazz Club, alongside local group
Manteca.
Nathan Bryde (10He) travelled overseas
in August to compete at the Jinshan
International Youth Football Championships.
Ryan Buckeridge (9Wb) competed in the
North of Perth Music Festival, entering the
Junior Vocal Solo sections for Contemporary,
Classical and Music Theatre. Whilst fairing
well in Contemporary and Classical, it was
in Music Theatre that he impressed the
adjudicator with his rendition of There Must
Be More from the musical Grace Online, and
achieved equal second place in this strongly
contested group of 24 singers.
Olivia Crossen (8Be) was selected to
represent WA and competed at the
Nationals in tetrathlon in Sydney. It was
only her third tetrathlon and she managed
to win a bronze medal. The phases were
swimming, running, shooting and show-
jumping. Olivia was also named Modern
Pentathlon Association of WA (MPAWA)
State Champion U15, achieving the highest
score of any age group!
Carys D’Addario (7Ha) made the State u/12
Cricket Team and travelled to Adelaide in
November to represent WA.
Luke Osborne (12Be), Lions Youth of the Year.
Mitchell Dean (5T) was selected to be a
panel member for Telethon on Sunday 27
October. Mitchell coordinated a whole school
fundraising day, “Rock Anything Red to
School” to raise funds for Telethon.
Yousef Elhosainy (10Sc) achieved a
silver medal in the 4x400m relay at an
international athletics meet in Malaysia
during the school holidays.

Lachlan Grime (10St) was selected for
the U15 State Touring Squad for Rugby
Union and played in the Junior Gold Cup
Competition in Ballymore, Brisbane.
Daniel Huynh (7He) was formally invited to
represent Australia through his Yaolin Kung
Fu Association club in the 1st Lion Dance
Sunwork International Championships in
Vietnam in September.
Raphael Elvish (9St) attended the RSCM
(Royal School of Church Music) Choir Camp
in Geraldton from 9-14 July. After only five
days of rehearsal the choir performed the
Schubert Mass in Latin at both cathedrals
and Raphael also had opportunity to play on
both cathedral organs (pipe and electronic).
He was awarded his light blue ribbon. Lewis Jones (11He) was recently selected
to play his first Premier League game for the
Old Guildfordian Mundaring Hockey Club.
Zack Goodchild (12SG) placed seventh in
the under 19 male age category for round 5
of the WA Gravity Enduro Mountain Biking
Series held on 21 July in Dunsborough. Zachary Matthews (12Fr) has
successfully passed the DELF B2 examination
administered by the French Government
and the French Ministry for Education.
Jet Matich (7Be) placed second overall in
the State Championships for the Men’s
Artistic Gymnastics Level 5. He also took
home gold on the high bar and bronze on
pommel and vault.
