Year 10 boarder Blair Dunne (10He),
whose cousins, dad, uncles and grandad all
boarded at Guildford Grammar School, is
looking forward to his sister Holly join him
in boarding next year. Holly is currently a
day student in the Senior School, joining the
school this year for Year 8 and moving into
boarding next year. “I think Holly will feel
comfortable knowing the school already
and knowing that she has family here. I
know mum and dad will appreciate us being
together at the one school, with only one
lot of commitments and being able to pick
us up on the same day at the same time at
the end of each term.”
The Harris family, whose son Robert (11Wb)
has been a boarder for five years, is looking
forward to their daughter Charlotte joining
the boarding community next year.
“Robert has been very happy at Guildford
Grammar School and has made some great
friends. The pastoral care shown in the
school and in boarding has been second-
to-none. In discussions with Charlotte, it
became clear that she had her heart set on
Guildford Grammar School. The safe, family
environment that we have seen with Robert
and the friends we have made during his
time at the school made the decision easy
for us as a family. Charlotte is excited
about getting to know the new girls joining
boarding next year and making close friends
for life.”
