SENIOR SCHOOL
Reflecting on Valedictory Day
Guildford Grammar School students work and live across the globe
often in unexpected areas. Just prior to Valedictory Eve a number of
Year 12 students reflected on their time at the School and their plans
for 2018 and beyond.
Guildford has been a positive experience for me, a lot
of good, fun experiences and teachers who believed
in me and gave me opportunities. My plan for next
year is to go to WAAPA (West Australian Academy
of Performing Arts) studying music, after that who
knows? But definitely something to do with music.
Blake Weller (He)
School has been alright, but I am really looking forward to
the freedom of being out of school. Next year my plan is
to go to Muresk Agricultural College and then either back
to the farm or a diesel mechanics apprenticeship.
Jackson Chomley (Sc)
Guildford has been a very good experience for me. Hectic,
but worth it, always something to do and a huge range
of opportunities. I am looking forward to post-school
freedom! My plan is to go to UWA (University of Western
Australia) and study geography and philosophy. I want to
follow this up with a post graduate teaching qualification
before I head back to Guildford!
Owen Connor (He)
It is difficult to describe my experience at Guildford in a
few words, absolutely fantastic, the best years of my life.
Short term I am looking forward to the Pink Floyd concert!
Next year I am planning to study business management
at Curtin. I want to travel as much as I can in the next few
years, visiting family in Germany and Austria first and then
the rest of Europe.
Andrew Wirth (Be)
I have really enjoyed school and tried to make the most
of my time here. I’m really looking forward to being
responsible for myself as an adult. Post-school I am
looking forward to studying at university, probably Politics
or Humanities but definitely not Science! I’m also really
looking forward to travelling. I am planning to begin with
Europe and the United Kingdom where I have family.
Nicholas MacLachlan (Wb)
I have felt privileged and honored to represent such a fine
school that looks after its students so well. My plan for
next year is to study Media at Melbourne University.
