Year 8 student Dylan Bennetts (9Be)
is making a name for himself in the
state, national and world BMX titles.
The 2015 BMX year has seen Dylan
compete at state, national and
international level. The National Pro
Bike series was held over nine rounds
with seven of the rounds held on
the east coast. The final round of
the series, which coincides with the
National BMX Championships, was
held in Brisbane.
Dylan finished in fifth place in the
national series, with the riders
only riding moto due to inclement
weather. Two days later Dylan
competed at the BMX National
Championships, where he finished
in third place, qualifying him to
represent Australia at the World BMX
Championships in Belgium.
Dylan then competed amongst the
world’s best in Belgium to finish in
the top 20 in his age class.
The BMX WA state titles were held
in Bunbury in October, with Dylan
competing in two classes. Dylan won
both of these classes respectively.
Dylan is now training for the 2016
National BMX series and National
Championships.
