Year 2 student Orlando Borg is aiming to have his name up in lights , and don ’ t be surprised if it happens soon ! With several acting roles under his belt , and a nomination in an LA based film-festival , we will be hearing more about this inspiring young actor ! His mum tells us about his career so far .
Orlando has been dramatic for as long as we can remember . He would make a performance out of the simplest tasks , like brushing his teeth . His Grammy always used to say , “ for goodness sake , put the child into acting classes ”. So we did !
Orlando started Stagecoach lessons in the Preparatory School , then took lessons at Film Bites in Malaga and just loved it .
At the age of five he started going to auditions and successfully picked up work in TV commercials , a music video and a short film .
He has recently returned from a trip to an LA based film festival where he was nominated as ‘ Best Actor ’ for his work on ‘ The Voice in the Wilderness ’.
Orlando has just accepted a lead role in a short film called Kyle and has recently been cast as Tiny Tim in the musical play Scrooge . Scrooge will be performed in the Old Mill Theatre in South Perth from 2-16 December .
