B Y J AY D E E H A C K N E Y BROWING MOVING & STORAGE My husband, Ron, and I have been the new owner’s of Benson’s Canine Cookies since July of 2014. We started off as customers at Benson’s and felt that with some changes, the store had great potential. The original owner developed the recipes we still use today and they are as popular as ever! In the beginning we did a major remodel. Through the remodel process our customers were very patient and now the store has a clean and cheerful appearance. It is customer and pet friendly. Some things are different and some are the same. We’ve retained the employees who have worked here for so many years and added a few new faces as well. Our on-site bakery uses only the best ingredients. Our meats are human grade and come from a local restaurant supplier. Our produce is purchased fresh and is processed in our kitchen. We have developed a grain free treat and a few new flavors of cookies. Our store carries a variety of healthy and holistic brands of dog and cat food. Most of them are from private manufacturers who produce the brand from one plant and are family owned. We believe their focus on quality provides a high level of
