• The annual Edison Festival of Light continues celebrating inventor Thomas Alva Edison and the quality of life in southwest Florida. Founded in 1938. The Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade is one of the largest night parades in the southeast! The parade starts at Fort Myers High School and concludes in downtown. Over 200,000 participants and attendees enjoy a day that is filled with music and dancing on our community stage, the 5K Run, the parade itself and then they conclude the day with an amazing fireworks display!
