“ Might not be vintage enough, but alongside my hoodie, bought in 2001, I have this mug. Was at Keele from 2000-2010 from undergrad in Psych and Sociology through to doctorate in Social Gerontology.”
“ This is my memento from my time at Keele( 1972-76). During that time, we all ate in the refectory, in my case Lindsay Hall, and all of us remember the meal cards and queuing up for our lunches. It would have been about 1974 that I switched to having the vegetarian meal card because those options always appealed more and I hated wasting the meat, especially lamb. Fifty years on, I am still vegetarian.
At this point I should stress that I did not remove the plate( or the dessert bowl) from the premises; I became the guardian of these precious reminders of Pan Haggerty and Cherry Pie and Custard( Thursdays) some years later.
I know I am not alone in having a memento, or such happy lunchtime memories.”
