Cumberland Lodge in Windsor Great Park was the setting for a surprise first-time meeting for three graduates and a former Keele lecturer .
Hosted by the Police Foundation ( UK ), ‘ Getting the right things done : Delivering good policing in the 2020s ’ brought together delegates from the police , academia , government and a range of community and advocacy organisations .
Sitting with colleagues over dinner , International Relations graduate Mark Evans , Executive Lead : Future Policing at New Zealand Police , explained :
“ We ’ d been debating and discussing ideas and then , as you do , we got onto the subject of where we ’ d studied or worked . Unbelievably , we discovered we ’ d all been at Keele ”.
“ We ’ ve all ended up with an interest in the delivery of better policing . As you ’ d expect we all had fond and positive memories of Keele and ended up capturing the moment for posterity ”.
