Keele University climbs to its highest-ever ranking
The University has been ranked 32nd in the Guardian University Guide 2023 , making this year ’ s performance its highest-ever ranking in the national league table .
The table ranks universities on several metrics including their students ’ levels of satisfaction and career prospects after graduating .
This strong performance came in the same weekend that
Keele University ’ s Business School ( KBS ) has expanded its offering with a host of new courses and a new Director at the helm .
Dr Scott Bambrick has joined Keele from Manchester Metropolitan University , where he was Head of the Strategy , Enterprise and Sustainability department .
Dr Bambrick said : “ This is a very exciting time for me to be joining Keele Business School , as we look to grow our programmes , increase our student body , and ensure we continue to develop and deliver excellent courses . In being regionally embedded and by working closely with local and national partners and businesses , all our students will be given the opportunity to engage with industry and gain valuable employability experiences .
The University has recently ranked 4th in the UK for Radiography in this year ’ s Times Good University Guide - a ranking based on an analysis of student satisfaction with teaching quality and their student experience , as well as entry standards , research quality , and graduate prospects .
Keele welcomed a record number of new students to the University , and just months after it was named Britain ’ s Best University in the Student Crowd Awards . Professor Mark Ormerod , Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost said : “ I am delighted by Keele ’ s performance . It ' s our highest-ever ranking , which reflects many of our strengths as a university . The timing was also great , as the news came through as we welcomed a record number of new students to the University ,

“ By enhancing our global reach through research , partnerships , student mobility and accreditations , we will focus on the internationalisation of our student experience , helping them better prepare for life after graduation from Keele Business School .”
Dr Bambrick ’ s appointment as the Director of Keele Business School coincides with a time of change across the School , with a suite of new courses also on offer .
In addition to the existing portfolio , KBS now offers single honours courses in Marketing ; Accounting ; Business Management ; Business Management & Economics ; Human Resource Management ; and Business & Supply Chain Management .
Forensic Science at Keele is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and has a dedicated Crime Scene House that allows students to put the theory into practice , along with the use of high-tech facilities in modern laboratories using industry-standard equipment .
In addition , Forensic Science at Keele University has been ranked among the Top 10 in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2023 .
The subject scored highly in this year ’ s ranking for its excellent levels of student satisfaction and research quality .
