Forever Keele 9 Why not tie the knot here too? Keele Hall is one of Staffordshire’s most historic wedding venues and is the perfect backdrop for your nuptials. The University is continuously developing, and its newest and possibly largest project is the new on-campus, 150-bedroom Courtyard by Marriott Hotel due to open at the end of 2020. The hotel will be located adjacent to Smart Innovation Hub and will boast a restaurant and bar, meeting rooms, and fitness suite. The addition of the hotel to the campus will allow event organisers to benefit from year- round accommodation for residential events, weddings, graduations and for visitors to enjoy the beautiful campus for that bit longer! In addition, 180 new parking spaces will make accessing the campus even easier. Bringing an event to Keele has so many benefits to the University and allows visitors to see just how the University stands at the forefront of the academic sector. To bring your event to Keele and showcase your alma mater, call the Conference and Events Team on 01782 732020 or email conferences@ keele.ac.uk “I’d just like to reiterate how helpful Conferences & Events were in assisting me with the planning and execution of the EHS conference. The Society is a very prominent one in my field and the conference is a high-profile event, so it was very important to me that the event went well. Even when there were hiccups in the planning, as there often are with any event, C&E were so helpful in making sure that there were contingency plans in place. I’d recommend using C&E to any Keele colleague thinking about hosting either a large or small event.” Dr Siobhan Talbott (Keele University) and Maureen Galbraith (Economic History Society) Economic History Society Conference.
