eele has a vibrant arts programme, comprising art, music, poetry, performances and other cultural treats as well. We have
our own art gallery, which is located in the Chancellor’s Building, and host a wide range of events throughout the year,
including a full and varied music programme from the Keele Concert Society, programme of inaugural lectures, live poetry

Music Lectures
22nd January - The Telling 3rd February
Into the Melting Pot - A combination of music and theatre
which fuses a plethora of extraordinary instruments
including the Arabic oud and sounds from the rich cultural
heritage of the Iberian Peninsula in the Middle Ages. Professor Helen Parr: A Sense of the Past: Britain, Europe,
and the Legacies of War
12th February - Dominic Alldis Trio
This trio explores the meeting point of two musical worlds:
classical music and jazz. Enjoy an evening rich in melody
that explores the timeless art of improvisation.
26th February - Albion Quartet
Four of the UK’s most exceptional young string players
brought together by a shared belief in the visceral power of
the string quartet.
11th March - Papagena
Sparkling female vocalists Papagena sing medieval,
classical, folk and contemporary a cappella from around the
world.
25th March - Dodo Street Band
The last word in Celtic Gypsy Klezmer. A contagious
epidemic of folk in a joyously wild maverick mix. Keep your
feet still if you can...
