Foundation Year, as we knew it, and dual
honours for everyone has gone, it was
pleasing to hear from the Vice-Chancellor,
Professor Trevor McMillan, that the
University remains a strong advocate of the
benefits of a broad-based, interdisciplinary
education and research; re-imagining
Lindsay’s original vision of Keele 70 years
on with the introduction of a new portfolio
of programmes and curriculum. Although
fewer dual honours routes, instead there
are specialist, integrated and combined
degrees and electives themed around the
societal global challenges of a digital future,
sustainability, social inclusion, and global
health. In today’s world this is more important
than ever. the weekend has provoked thoughts like
‘Whatever happened to…?’ and you would
like to be put in touch with fellow alumni,
you can search the online directory (if you
need to jog your memory for a name) using
the new Keele e-mentoring and networking
platform, Keele Connect, or by getting in
touch with the Alumni Team directly on
alumni.hq@keele.ac.uk or 01782 733587
and they will endeavour to assist.
The Alumni team have uploaded a selection
of photographs to the alumni web pages, so
please do take a look. Malcolm Clarke

Keele reunions are such a wonderful chance
to meet up with friends who you may not
have seen in a while, and to re-establish
contact with those you may have lost touch
with over the years. If this update about
I look forward to our next opportunity to
reconnect with one another and Keele.
