Twin brothers graduate with same degree after studying side by side
Twin brothers Adrian and Ainsley Dondo have graduated together from Keele University after studying the same Biomedical Science degree, achieving the same classification and even living in neighbouring rooms throughout their studies.
The 22-year-olds, from Bradford, spent four years studying side by side, supporting each other through coursework, exams and university life.
“ Studying alongside each other made the whole experience feel much less daunting,” said Adrian.“ We always had someone to bounce ideas off, revise with and support one another.”
The brothers chose Keele because of its strong reputation for Biomedical Science and quickly found that sharing the experience helped them stay motivated. Alongside their studies, they both played for Keele’ s basketball team and built lasting friendships through campus life.
Ainsley said:“ From growing up together in Bradford, to choosing the same Biomedical Science course at Keele, achieving the same degree classification and now graduating on the same day, it feels surreal.”
Despite their remarkably similar journeys, the brothers said university also helped them develop their own independence and identities while continuing to support one another through challenges and successes.
Following graduation, Adrian and Ainsley are due to begin Biomedical Science internships in Milton Keynes as they work towards becoming HCPCregistered biomedical scientists.
“ We’ re both passionate about healthcare and laboratory science,” said Adrian.“ We’ re excited to continue this journey together.”
