he incredible scenery that Forest Cove Getaways has called its home is the beautiful land of the Nantahala National Forest . Nantahala means land of the Noon day sun in Cherokee. Today it is protected by the US department of agriculture. Their resources have not been wasted as we now have these 528,000 acres of some of the most beautiful land in the country and is home to several endangered species of plants and animals. Famous hiking trails and rivers in these mountains attract thousands of people each year. Please help us keep our gorgeous mountains clean!
