FORENSICS JOURNAL Another prominent Utah politician and attorney, Sean Reyes, the current Utah Attorney General, is championing a crusade to construct a “fraudsters registry.” This listing would function similarly to the sex offender registries. Reyes stresses such a registry is needed because there is a high incidence of repeat offenders committing affinity frauds. Reyes’ campaign for attorney general included a desire to study the premise of lessening fraudster sentences if they disclose the location of hidden assets acquired through their schemes.
