Looking to the future
Ensuring that the Forensic Science programmes provide you with the
best teaching experience we are constantly looking to improve
our teaching facilities. The new Central Science Laboratories
represent a £34 million development in the natural sciences.
Due to the multidisciplinary nature of forensic science our
students will make use of a wide variety of laboratory space
within the new Central Sciences Laboratories. This will include
the wet labs for introducing the core chemistry that underpins
the course and extensive use of both the ground floor and
second floor dry laboratory spaces for the forensic analysis and
criminalistic methods aspects. This will be complemented by the
new computer laboratories, which will provide forensic science
students access to software for performing spectroscopic and
chromatographic analysis.
