16 | Forensic Science What is it like to study Forensic Science at Keele? Most modules are taught using a combination of lectures, laboratory and problem classes. Modules in forensic science contain a variety of assessment methods including expert witness statements, examinations, case reports and oral presentations ensuring you graduate with a range of skills. You will get experience working individually and as part of a team throughout your degree. Laboratory work is assessed in many ways including laboratory diaries, reports, pro-formas, poster presentation and oral assessment. Feedback is provided on all student work in a variety of formats including written, oral and electronic such as through the use of innovative screencasts. To supplement contact hours, forensic science staff make extensive use of the Keele Learning Environment (KLE) to provide reading lists, quizzes and lecture notes. Many of our lectures are recorded using the Keele PlayBack system with students being able to replay lectures to aid their revision. All students at Keele are allocated a personal tutor to support your personal and academic development.
