The number of day students enrolling at Fordham begins to increase sharply. Demetrio de Zaldo y Beurmann, Prep Class of 1877, becomes Cuba’s first secretary of state. 65) October 1903: An advertisement Bulletin includes the school’s first known phone number: “37 Tremont.” 66) January 16, 1904: The Prep plays its first interscholastic basketball game against Lincoln High School in Yonkers.
