IGNITE 2024 : une nuit mémorable !
T he Fordham Prep community is gearing up for IGNITE 2024 : An Evening in Paris on March 2 . We ’ re excited to welcome back our returning guests , as well as our new parents , for a night of Parisian fare , dancing , and surprises at the Prep . Though March may seem far off , the event is capped at 500 tickets , so don ’ t wait to buy yours !
Let ’ s backtrack for a moment to explain IGNITE for those who have never attended :
Fordham Prep ’ s iconic spaces — Rowen Lobby , Moglia Commons , and Theatre Atrium — transform annually for themed IGNITE benefits , attracting sold-out crowds . Over 500 guests have attended each of the last four in-person benefits , solidifying IGNITE as a premiere affair on Fordham Prep ’ s calendar .
IGNITE brings together current and past parents , as well as alumni . At last year ’ s event , Under the Big Top in the Bronx , alumni guests represented classes from 1960 through 2015 ! Community involvement from the Prep ’ s Mothers ’ and Fathers ’ clubs , student volunteers , alumni
sponsors , and others generate excitement in the months leading up to IGNITE each year .
Past experiences have featured strolling dinners , open bars , sponsored whiskey tables , live auctions hosted by MC and Auctioneer Bruce Beck ( Lead Sports Anchor at NBC 4 New York ), music , and dancing . It ’ s more than just a party ; it ’ s a celebration that creates long-lasting memories .
IGNITE plays a crucial role in raising funds that help sustain Fordham Prep ’ s commitment to providing a quality Catholic Jesuit education . The $ 2.6 million raised at past events have supported educational programs , including iSTEAM and Global Education , tuition assistance via IGNITE Scholarships , and essential capital improvements including the new Fitness and Wellness Center , and the East Wing Project .
